PUMA, a global sports company, has signed a long-term partnership with Brazilian soccer player Neymar Jr. and NR Sports, the company that holds his image rights. Neymar Jr., one of the most successful athletes of his generation, will wear PUMA’s legendary PUMA KING soccer cleats. The official announcement was made on September 12, 2020.

Neymar Jr. will not only wear PUMA cleats on the field, but he will also serve as the brand’s ambassador off the field, wearing PUMA’s flagship lifestyle collection, including workout clothes, footwear, and sports-inspired products.

“It’s fantastic that Neymar Jr. is joining the PUMA family,” said Bjørn Gulden, CEO of PUMA. “He is one of the best players in the world and has a huge influence on global soccer and youth culture. We are very excited and looking forward to working with him both on and off the field.”

In a post titled “The KING Is Back,” shared on his social media accounts for his fans, Neymar Jr. spoke about the impact that legends like Pelé and Maradona have had on his life, as well as his decision to follow in their footsteps and become a PUMA partner.
