Nike’s new soccer cleat, inspired by Neymar Jr.’s speed on the field, was officially launched worldwide on Monday, August 26. The Nike Mercurial Vapor 13 “Speed Freak” was designed with the strength and power of a race car’s acceleration in mind.

Red with black, white, and gray accents were the colors chosen to bring the new soccer cleats to life. The design also pays homage to the world of speed with the stripes of a checkered flag.

The bold design also features the number “10”—worn by Neymar Jr. on the Brazilian national team—on the outer side, along with the words “Ousadia Shhh” and a crown next to it.

The campaign material distributed by NR Sports’ partner, Nike, features Neymar Jr. as a symbol of speed on the field. The soccer cleats designed by the athlete ensure precise ball control at high speeds.
