Red Bull and NR Sports Announce Another Edition of Neymar Jr.’s Five

One of NR Sports’ major partners, Red Bull, is already gearing up for the new edition of Neymar Jr.’s Five. Qualifying rounds are kicking off again around the world, with numerous teams competing to reach the finals, which will take place in July at the Neymar Jr. Project Institute, located in Praia Grande on the coast of São Paulo. The winning team will play a match against Neymar Jr. and his friends.

Announced for last year’s tournament, the women’s and mixed-gender teams will continue to participate in this new edition, alongside the now-traditional men’s teams. Neymar Jr.'s Five is a global five-on-five tournament that brings together players from all corners of the world to celebrate their passion for soccer. Each match lasts 10 minutes, there are no goalkeepers, and every time a team scores, the opposing team loses a player.

Sidelined by an injury, Neymar Jr. is excited for the 2019 tournament and focused on his recovery so he can return to the field as soon as possible to help his PSG teammates. “Treatment has just begun. It will be a long journey, and I’ll have small victories day after day. I’ve played soccer since I was a kid, so it’s really hard to be away from the game. In 2018, I went through something similar, and I know how bad it is, but that experience made me stronger and prepared me to face what’s coming now,” says the athlete.
