Neymar Jr. launches his first lifestyle collection with PUMA

PUMA has teamed up with Neymar Jr. for its first lifestyle collection, which celebrates his life journey from his childhood in São Vicente to the present day in Paris. As a co-creator of the collection, the pieces feature graphics inspired by his Brazilian roots.

Neymar Jr.’s first PUMA lifestyle collection features a variety of footwear, including PUMA’s new Wild Rider line, apparel such as hoodies, bomber jackets, T-shirts, and cargo pants, as well as a selection of accessories, beanies, caps, and backpacks. Neymar Jr. was involved from the very beginning of the process, bringing ideas to meetings, sharing what he liked in terms of design, and even selecting materials.

“They really listened to me and understood the story I want to tell, since it’s inspired by my past and who I am as a person—not just as a soccer player,” said Neymar Jr. about working with the PUMA team. “We exchanged ideas about the design and details and incorporated them into the collection. I was very involved, and they really understood what I wanted to share.”

The most important thing for Neymar Jr. throughout the process was to create something with comfort in mind—something that could be worn every day. While the product designs are minimalist, high-performance fabrics and premium details elevate the pieces.

“Neymar Jr. really wanted to create something he loved to wear, so he wanted to make something for himself, but also for his fans,” said PUMA Creative Director Heiko Desens. “That’s why it’s a very streamlined look—to really appeal to a wide range of people, which was our goal with this collection.”

The lifestyle collection tells the story of Neymar Jr. through illustrations; the designs are inspired by São Vicente, the city in Brazil where he grew up. The word “Abençoado” (Blessed), which he has tattooed on his back, serves as the centerpiece of the collection; incorporating the word into the items is something special to him, as it expresses gratitude and how he feels about his life and career. The designs even include one of his favorite quotes, which truly captures his life mantra: “It’s not always about being the best or the greatest, but about inspiring future generations.”

The PUMA X NEYMAR JR. collection features a soft color palette of black and light gray with yellow accents and will launch on PUMA.com, at PUMA stores, and at select retailers on September 30. PUMA x Neymar Jr. Wild Rider’s will be available globally in late November.
