After being named the world’s most expensive player by France Football magazine, Neymar Jr. once again topped the list of the most valuable soccer players. The CIES (International Centre for Sports Studies) Football Observatory has once again ranked the Brazilian national team’s No. 10 as the world’s most valuable player.

On Monday (the 16th), the list of the world’s most valuable players was released by the newspaper AS, and the figures were once again compiled by CIES, a research institute specializing in sports. On the list, Neymar Jr. ranks first, valued at €246.8 million, ahead of his teammate, Lionel Messi (€170.5 million), and the player currently voted the best in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo (€126.5 million).

In addition to NJr, nine other Brazilians appear on the list of the Top 100 most valuable players. Among them are: Roberto Firmino (€55.3 million), Willian (€55.1 million), Philippe Coutinho (€55 million), Lucas Moura (€50.4 million), Fabinho (€40.8 million), Alex Sandro (€40.7 million), Douglas Costa (€39.4 million), Felipe Anderson (€38.1 million), and Marquinhos (€37.6 million).

The Swiss institute's list took a number of criteria into account when evaluating the players. The factors considered were age, contract length, experience, performance level, international status, results, individual and competitive achievements, and market value.
