Neymar Jr. is the most-followed Brazilian on social media

Neymar Jr. has already established himself as a star both on and off the field, but now the No. 10 is once again impressing with his social media numbers. He is the most-followed Brazilian on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, with more than 175 million fans.

The athlete has 60 million followers on Facebook, 34 million on Twitter, and 82.9 million on Instagram. Compared to the most-followed personalities in Brazil across all three platforms, he ranks above Kaká, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, singer Anitta, and many other celebrities. With these numbers, the forward has more fans on social media than the top clubs in Brazil’s Serie A.

But his success extends beyond Brazil. His InstaStories are the most-viewed on the app worldwide, surpassing celebrities such as Floyd Mayweather, David Beckham, and even the official Champions League account. The star player is the second-most-followed soccer player on Instagram and the 14th-most-followed profile in the world, coming very close to surpassing National Geographic (82.1 million) and claiming 13th place.

His online fame has also helped PSG boost its social media presence. Before the star player arrived, the club had 8.2 million followers on Instagram; today it has 10.1 million. The same happened on Twitter, where the team’s official account had 4.6 million followers and now has 5.5 million. On Facebook, the team continues to have 31 million followers.
