NR SPORTS, founded in 2006 by Neymar da Silva Santos and Nadine Gonçalves, reiterates that it is the exclusive holder of the rights to exploit worldwide or license to third parties the use of Neymar Jr.’s name, image, voice, trademarks, and other attributes for commercial purposes, advertising campaigns, and product licensing.

The General Court of the European Union issued a ruling on Tuesday (the 14th) rejecting an appeal filed by a Portuguese citizen, who had turned to the Court to try to overturn a decision that invalidated the trademark registration he had improperly filed in the European Union.

The Court upheld the favorable decision issued by the European Union Intellectual Property Office in 2016, which prevents the registration of the “Neymar” trademark by that third party.

With yet another favorable ruling, NR Sports reaffirms its commitment to its partners and licensees, with the aim of protecting the NEYMAR name and brand in Brazil and abroad.
