Neymar Jr. Takes the Field in a TCL Campaign

TCL, one of the world's leading television manufacturers, which entered the Brazilian market in 2016, unveiled its first global campaign this weekend featuring soccer star Neymar Jr., who was announced as the brand's ambassador worldwide.

The film shows the Brazilian icon in various positions on the field. At the end of the film, the player says that watching on TV is even better than watching live and ends by making the “Tóis” gesture. The TV featured in the film, which includes a Harman Kardon sound system—a common feature of TCL TVs—is not yet available on the Brazilian market, but it is part of the brand’s line of state-of-the-art devices. The version for display media formats will feature the lineup of the brand's televisions already available in Brazil.

“I’m excited about this partnership with TCL. It was an easy decision for me. I share similar values with TCL, such as the constant pursuit of excellence and great results in every game. I look forward to collaborating with TCL and supporting the company’s efforts to bring the global sports community together through soccer,” says Neymar Jr.

According to Ricardo Freitas, president of SEMP TCL in Brazil, soccer player Neymar Jr. was chosen as the brand ambassador because he is an icon who inspires his fans to strive for the highest level of excellence, just like TCL, which constantly pursues technological excellence and innovation. “Our goal was to showcase the immersive experience of watching the sports our consumers love on our TVs,” explains Ricardo.

The campaign is a co-production between Only Media Show and Utopia Filmes and will be featured on pay-TV channels, in newspapers, magazines, and on the radio.
