In early November, the first qualifying round of Neymar Jr’s Five took place. The world’s largest five-on-five tournament is back, and one of our main partners, Red Bull, is already preparing the event to make 2019 a success.
The first qualifying rounds are being held in Egypt and India and will continue through December. The first teams to be crowned came from Egypt and are: Ziad Jr. (from Nasr City), Meme (6th of October City), Maadi (5th Settlement), and Helwan (from Giza).
This time, the competition will feature 44 countries and will welcome back the women’s teams, along with a new logo, a new design for the team jerseys and the playing fields, and other new features that will be revealed throughout the tournament.
In the last edition, Brazil’s women’s team and Mexico’s men’s team defeated all their opponents and became the tournament’s new champions. The star players had the opportunity to play against Neymar Jr.’s team and will soon be in Paris to meet the captain of the Brazilian national team.
Neymar Jr’s Five has already kicked off, and this new edition has all the makings of yet another successful partnership!
