The world’s largest five-on-five tournament, which provides a global platform for amateur players, is back to celebrate its thrilling fifth edition. The action kicks off this weekend (February 22) with the start of the qualifying rounds, and teams from around the world will embark on a journey in which they hope to reach the world final at the Neymar Jr. Project Institute in Praia Grande.

In addition to lifting the coveted trophies, the prize for the winning teams will be a mouthwatering match against the star player himself and a hand-picked selection of top-tier teammates.

Last year, Hungary’s mixed team, Zsírkréták, and the Slovak women’s team, Spartak Myjava, managed to outplay everyone in the world’s largest and most exciting five-on-five tournament format — 10 minutes of intense action, with no goalies and teams losing a player every time the opposition scores. Over the past four years, more than 400,000 players from 75 countries and six continents have signed up.

On a personal level, Neymar Jr. is ready to use what he learned during a difficult year to propel him to success in 2020.

“Professionally and personally, 2019 was a difficult year for me,” admits the world’s most expensive soccer player. “But it was a year full of lessons and many experiences. I’m focusing on the positive so that 2020 can be better.”

“I’m always looking for new challenges, and my biggest hope for 2020 is to win everything I can with PSG and the Brazilian national team. I want to be in the Champions League final, and I want to win the Copa América again.”

When asked about his dream team for Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five, the forward replied: “A team made up of active players: Messi, Suárez, Mbappé, Pogba, and Hazard. A team made up of retired players: Xavi, Lampard, Gerrard, Beckham, and Henry.”

Now it's time for you to build your own team of world champions and get ready to take on them all. To learn more about the qualifiers in your country and the path to glory in Brazil, visit www.redbullneymarjrsfive.com and register your team of five players.
