Starting the year off on the right foot, Mauricio de Sousa Produções has launched the new season of “Neymar Jr. Responde.” The second season of the show brings back the character “Neymarzinho,” features several new guests, and will air every Thursday on Neymar Jr.’s official Facebook page. Filmed by Lab 3, produced by Mauricio de Sousa Ao Vivo, and directed by Fernando Gomes, former director of the children’s show “Cocoricó,” “Neymar Jr. Responde” is back, reading letters from fans sent by people from all over the world. The star still receives many letters, and the best stories will be selected and featured on the show.

The partnership between Neymar Jr. and Mauricio de Sousa Produções has been in place for a long time and has already yielded many benefits for young audiences, such as comic books, licensed products, two seasons of a cartoon series, and now the second season of “Neymar Jr. Responde.”

“The love I get from fans all over the world makes me very happy. It’s really hard to reply to every letter I receive, so I decided to ask for help with this task: myself! The shows are really cool, and the guests make everything even more fun. I hope everyone enjoys them and keeps sending in letters,” Neymar Jr. said about the show.

“The coolest new feature is that, in each episode, Neymar Jr. welcomes a partner, a friend, or a ‘brother’—whether from life, music, or the arts—to read this letter and, often, bring it to him, because we have letters from all over the world,” commented the show’s director.

The first guest was comedian Renato Albani, and Fernando Gomes also shared a bit about what the recording was like. “Recording with Renato Albani is always fun. Sometimes, not all the fun makes it into the video, because he’s such a fun guy—and just by being in the studio, chatting with everyone, he creates a really great vibe.”

Renato Albani is a fan of soccer star Neymar Jr. and enjoyed being on the show. “It was really cool to be on the show because, besides being a fan of Neymar, it’s a really cool project. Reading people’s letters reminded me of my childhood, when we still sent letters. Especially from people who are fans—so it was a lot of fun. It’ll be really cool for people to have their letters read aloud, so I’m so grateful for the invitation!”
