"Ney Ney," a player animation, was developed by FlyMedia in partnership with NR Sports and will be released on social media this Friday (29)
May 2026 – On the eve of the World Cup, Neymar Jr.’s first animated character debuts on social media, developed by NR Sports—the company that manages the player’s image—in partnership with FlyMedia, a company specializing in creating digital influencers using artificial intelligence. The initiative is the first of its kind in terms of intellectual property and strengthens the image of the No. 10 player while expanding the reach of his personal brand, which has amassed more than 420 million followers on video platforms and social media.
The character Ney Ney will be an animated version of the athlete, available in different languages, with a primary focus on YouTube and a distribution strategy across platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. The content proposal includes a variety of narrative formats and storylines, created on an ongoing basis to keep the player in the spotlight and engage his fans.
“We are building a project designed from the outset to engage with global audiences, connecting sports, entertainment, and technology across different platforms. Neymar Jr. is one of the world’s most influential figures, and transforming this cultural influence into an animated universe expands the possibilities for interaction with fans and brands in an unprecedented way,” says NR Sports.
The project reinforces FlyMedia’s position among the new generation of AI influencers, a market that has been attracting the attention of brands, platforms, and investors by combining artificial intelligence, multiplatform distribution, and global audience building.
“This launch represents a major shift in the digital media industry. Public figures are no longer just creators; they are now intellectual properties capable of generating ongoing narratives, new content formats, and licensing opportunities on a global scale. ‘Ney Ney’ was developed to expand the reach of Neymar Jr.’s image in the run-up to the World Cup,” says Victor Trindade, CEO and co-founder of FlyMedia.
