Nike is launching “Silêncio,” Neymar Jr.’s new soccer cleat, this Thursday (Feb. 21)

After celebrating 10 years of partnership with NR Sports, Nike announced on Thursday (February 21) yet another new project with athlete Neymar Jr.: the “Silencio” soccer cleat.

While recovering from an injury, Neymar Jr. is taking the opportunity to silence all the negativity and distractions and trying to embrace the joy of soccer. And that’s what the new “NJR Silêncio” soccer cleat represents. The launch celebrates Neymar Jr.’s ability to silence doubters, brush aside distractions, and let his skills do the talking on the field.

“SHHH isn’t about silencing the rest of the world; it’s about being quiet and focusing on what I need to do for my future as a player and as an athlete,” says Neymar Jr.

The new soccer cleat is covered with a unique graphic composed of several black “SHHHs” with a white chevron pattern. The letters gradually fade from black to gray as they move from the sole to the upper. No two cleats are alike. Neymar Jr.’s logo appears on the cleats and is accented by a diamond and a crown—two of the athlete’s personal mottos that are also tattooed on his body.
