Drive Day is back at McDonald’s! The event, which celebrates one of the most iconic and innovative services in the brand’s entire history, returns for its second edition this Thursday (14). And to celebrate, the chain has prepared a series of activities and an exclusive promotion. If you stop by one of the 410 drive-thrus across Brazil throughout the day, you can get a McFlurry for just R$2.90 with the purchase of any McOferta. In addition, a social media campaign featuring soccer star Neymar Jr. is encouraging everyone to stop by McDonald’s Drive-Thrus.
The company chose Dia Drive to celebrate this service, which is so important and iconic for the business and for people’s lives. In 2017 alone, more than 58 million vehicles in Brazil passed through McDonald’s drive-thru. Furthermore, the drive-thru with the highest volume in Latin America is in Brazil—averaging 33,000 vehicles per month at the Porto Alegre restaurant.
To continue the celebration, McDonald’s has brought back the Drive-Truck, which was one of last year’s highlights and toured São Paulo to offer the “Champion Sandwiches” and bring the excitement of the 2018 FIFA World Cup to the streets.
The brand will also launch the #PassaNoDrive campaign, created in partnership with the agencies DPZ&T and DM9DDB, which features soccer star Neymar Jr. designing the stencil to paint the streets for the World Cup kickoff. The commercial will premiere tomorrow during the commercial break on *Malhação* and can also be viewed on McDonald’s social media channels in Brazil.
