Thiago Braz: Olympic champion joins the IM network to encourage people to make their dreams come true
Thiago Braz, a 28-year-old native of Marília, in the interior of São Paulo, became known worldwide for his performance in the pole vault at the 2016 Rio Olympics. In a fierce competition against France’s Renaud Lavillenie, he ultimately defeated his rival with consecutive record-breaking jumps, in one of the greatest moments of the Olympics held on Brazilian soil.
But a top-level athlete isn’t made overnight. What many people don’t know is that Thiago Braz had already been standing out in previous competitions in his sport. His performance at the 2016 Rio Olympics was the culmination of a tremendous effort by the athlete, who values pushing his limits, improving his results, and maintaining intense focus! And all of this reflects—and strongly so—the IM way of life.
It is in this winning spirit that Instituto Mix is pleased to welcome the great Olympic champion, Thiago Braz, as the newest IM brand ambassador, along with two-time Olympic volleyball champion Giovane Gávio, who already supports the brand. The partnership between Braz and the Mix Institute of Professions stems from another major collaboration: the Neymar Jr. Institute and the Mix Institute of Professions.

The Mix Institute believes that, just like Thiago Braz, everyone can achieve their goals with strong focus, training, study, and skill development! Our partnership with Thiago Braz, Brazil’s Olympic champion in the pole vault, aligns with the Mix Institute’s goal—our mission: to transform people’s lives through skills training!
“It was through a lot of training, dedication, and persistence that Thiago Braz achieved his goals. And we at IM share the same mission toward our students. We want everyone to be able to realize their dreams and, in doing so, achieve great things. Thiago Braz also embodies the Brazilian people’s struggle for a better future and greater achievements; Brazilians are known for never giving up, just as we never give up on our students and their accomplishments,” emphasizes Claiton Andrade, marketing director for Instituto Mix de Profissões.
IM also believes that, through the athlete's credibility, students will feel motivated to overcome their own challenges.
“Thiago Braz embodies the ‘IM spirit’—the way of motivating others, the smile on the face of someone who believes in his potential, has empathy for others, and respect for those who, like him, want to get there! Thiago Braz also embodies the strength of youth, which can shape the course of its own destiny thanks to the efforts behind its achievements,” concludes manager Claiton Andrade.
For all these reasons, we believe that our partnership with this young athlete will bring mutual benefits; the partnership between the champion of the Olympic stadiums and the champion of Brazil’s vocational training programs is already a success!
