Neymar Jr. is one of the nominees for the FIFPro World 11 Team of the Season
FIFPro has released its list of soccer players nominated for the FIFPro World 11. More than 20,000 professional players from around 65 countries voted for the ideal team. Neymar Jr. is among the top vote-getters, competing against 55 other nominees.
Only 11 players will make up the team of the season’s best soccer players. The FIFPro World 11 will be announced by FIFA during the well-known FIFA The Best ceremony in London on September 24. In addition to Neymar Jr., five other Brazilians were nominated: Casemiro, Philippe Coutinho, Dani Alves, Marcelo, and Thiago Silva.
Neymar Jr. was named to the 2017 FIFPro World 11 and was a finalist for the FIFA The Best award, also in 2017. Prior to that, the star had been named to the 2015 FIFA World XI.
