NR Sports, its directors, and the family of Mr. Neymar da Silva Santos repudiate the false claim that one of the candidates for President of the Republic made in a reckless manner, accusing them of illegal conduct allegedly carried out in collusion with current President Jair Messias Bolsonaro. To put this matter to rest once and for all, we state that this information is false. Those responsible must prove otherwise in the appropriate forum.

The case was closed during the term of former President Michel Temer, on March 15, 2017, pursuant to the ruling in the 2ndadministrative instance (Judgment No. 2402-005.703, 2nd Ordinary Panel of the 4th Chamber of the 2nd Section of the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals—“CARF”).

At such a critical moment for the country, one would not expect a presidential candidate to make statements like these, which go beyond the bounds of reasonable freedom of expression.

We hope that respect will prevail!

This matter was resolved during former President Michel Temer’s term of office, on February 15, 2017, in accordance with the ruling issued by the appellate court (Judgment No. 2402-005.703, 2nd Ordinary Panel of the 4th Chamber of the 2nd Section of the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals – “CARF” – report on the attached process).

At this critical juncture for our country, we do not expect a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic to make statements like that, which go beyond the reasonable limits of free speech.
