Neymar Jr. Is Introduced as a TCL Ambassador at a Global Conference

Neymar Jr. may still be sidelined, but the star continues to score spectacular goals off the field. As TCL’s global ambassador, Neymar Jr. and the brand launched the new QLED TVs in Brazil at a global conference held in São Paulo on Tuesday (18).

Today, the brand is one of the world’s largest TV manufacturers, and at yesterday’s event, it announced that it would strengthen its presence in Brazil by introducing the Brazilian national team’s No. 10 as its ambassador.

Although he was still unable to put his injured foot on the ground, Neymar Jr. posed for photos, spoke with the company’s CEO, talked about the brand’s TVs, discussed his expectations for the 2018 World Cup, and answered a series of questions from journalists.

“Neymar will be fully integrated into our global strategy,” said Kevin Wang, vice president of TCL Multimedia, highlighting the group’s existing ties to sports.  “Partnering with an international icon like Neymar is essential to increasing the brand’s visibility and establishing it as a global leader,” the executive added.

The new device was one of the most award-winning at international technology events and is the first to come equipped with an integrated Harman Kardon audio system—soundbar, front speakers, and subwoofer—including 12-channel processing with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. The soundbar has a cylindrical shape, as do the other speakers in the system, and features a refined finish with gold accents. The TV displays 4K images in HDR, optimized by the Local Dimming backlight panel.
