PokerStars renews its partnership with NR Sports and Neymar Jr. for 2021!

NR Sports, Neymar Jr., and the PokerStars team are back together again. The renewal of the partnership was announced on Tuesday (the 15th) by Neymar Jr. himself on his social media accounts.

The partnership was designed to be a true collaboration reflected in many aspects of the brand. With his off-field passion for the game, this global sports icon is a perfect fit for PokerStars.net and will bring his talent and personality to the PokerStars.net community.

The announcement marks a new chapter in the relationship between Neymar Jr. and PokerStars, the home of poker and esports. A new brand video teases what’s to come as Neymar Jr. declares he’s “IN” and invites all players into his inner circle, showing that the Brazilian star is truly going above and beyond in his role—well beyond mere advertising.

Neymar Jr. said: “When I’m not playing soccer, I love playing cards. Competing with my friends is a huge passion of mine. I love the sense of community, the fun, and the unpredictable moments that can happen in any game. As a true poker fan, I’m excited to start a new chapter with PokerStars. Together, we’ll create memorable moments for our community and fans around the world.”

The signing of the partnership follows a recent global rebranding of PokerStars.net, which aims to go beyond the product in an effort to become a global entertainment brand.

Martin Nieri, Global Director of Brand and Creative at PokerStars, said: “Neymar Jr. is a true global superstar. But what underpins this partnership is his genuine love for poker. It’s about a shared passion for the game and the beautiful uncertainty at its heart. At PokerStars, we’re constantly trying new things to bring fresh energy, excitement, and entertainment to our customers. Together with Neymar Jr., we believe we can take this to the next level for the PokerStars community.”

PokerStars and Neymar Jr. have committed to becoming the ultimate duo in poker. This is just the beginning of the journey, with more to be revealed in 2021. Until then, you can get a sneak peek at what’s to come here.
