The second edition of the Neymar Jr. Project Institute’s Charity Auction raised 3.5 million for the project
On Thursday evening (the 19th), the Neymar Jr. Project Institute held its 2nd Charity Auction to support the social work it does with thousands of children, teenagers, and their families.
Neymar Jr. and his family, the creators of the project, attended the event held at the Hotel Unique in São Paulo. With 100% of the proceeds going to the social project, several artists not only attended the event but also donated experiences that were auctioned off throughout the evening.
Twenty-four lots were auctioned off throughout the evening. Trips, sports memorabilia autographed by big names, and experiences with various artists were among the items sold that night. One of the most special items of the night—two jerseys autographed by “King” Pelé and star player Neymar Jr.—sold for R$110,000.
Some of our partners were also at the event and supported the cause: Proibida, NJr XP, RICO, Romacer, C&A, and Gagà Milano. In total, R$3.5 million reais were raised at the event.
For Neymar da Silva Santos, vice president of the INJR, the most important thing is to thank the guests, supporters, and collaborators in attendance. “This makes us very happy, and our family is honored. Thank God, we can have fun and enjoy today. This makes us feel even greater.” In addition, Neymar Sr. emphasized how important it is to use his son’s public image to do good and bring peace and happiness to the families served by the project.
Wildomar Batista, the event organizer and head of WBN Produções, spoke about what a privilege it was to be part of such a grand event. “I’m truly moved because this year’s event is absolutely spectacular. We’ll showcase not only the work of the INJR, but we also have the opportunity to highlight how the children are engaging with the event,” he said.
The star of the evening, Neymar Jr., was very happy with how the event went. The star player noted that the auction represents the future and the daily struggles of every family and child served. “I’m very honored to be hosting the second auction. I’d like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support. There’s nothing better in the world than helping others.”
The star player’s girlfriend, actress Bruna Marquezine, also attended the party. “This is a very joyful and very special night! I’m so happy to see so many people united for this cause. It fills me with joy, and I know this is a very important night for ensuring this work continues, so we can help all these children, teens, and families,” she said.
Sabrina Sato was another guest celebrity. She donated an experience to the auction and highlighted the INJR’s excellent services in areas such as health, education, culture, and sports. “There are very few organizations like the INJR in the world. It transforms the lives not only of many children, but also of those children’s families, as well as society as a whole. And I have to do my part! I have to contribute a lot.” Sabrina is part of the lot called “Sabrina’s Carnival” and says she is very proud and honored to be part of the event.
The evening concluded with two special performances: Leonardo and Alexandre Pires took the stage and masterfully brought this very special event to a close.
