Considerando a notícia veiculada na mídia que revela a existência de uma acusação de uma funcionária da Nike de um suposto assédio que teria sofrido em 2016 do Atleta Neymar Jr., oportunamente relatada para a Companhia, que, segundo a reportagem, não adotou providências oportunas, são necessários alguns esclarecimentos.
Transcrevemos inicialmente as informações prestadas à reportagem do Wall Street Jornal:
“Neymar Jr nega essas acusações. Semelhante às alegações de agressão sexual feitas contra ele em 2019 – alegações em que as autoridades brasileiras reconheceram a sua inocência – essas alegações são falsas. Neymar Jr, se for acionado, o que nunca aconteceu, se defenderá vigorosamente contra esses ataques infundados. Neymar Jr e Nike encerraram o relacionamento por motivos comerciais, o que vinha sendo discutido desde 2019, nada relacionado a esses fatos noticiados. É muito estranho um caso que supostamente teria acontecido em 2016, com alegações de um funcionário da Nike, venha à tona somente nesse momento.”
Em relação às acusações não há nada a acrescentar porque o Atleta Neymar, ao longo desses cinco anos, nunca foi diretamente acusado e processado pela funcionária da Nike.
Em relação às declarações da Nike, prestadas de forma indevida e irresponsável pela Conselheira Geral da Companhia Hilary Krane, sobre o suposto motivo de rompimento do contrato com o Atleta Neymar Jr., é importante esclarecer que os reais e verdadeiros fatos são totalmente dissociados da afirmação prestada.
Não obstante todas as inverdades relatadas, não apresentaremos, por ora, os documentos que revelam a forma de encerramento do contrato, por questões óbvias de estrito sigilo e confidencialidade, em total observância aos princípios éticos e de governança corporativa que devem nortear a conduta de uma companhia.
As medidas cabíveis já estão sendo adotadas e em breve os reais motivos poderão ser revelados e os fatos esclarecidos.

Clarification
Considering the news published in the media that reveals the existence of an accusation by a Nike employee of an alleged harassment that she supposedly suffered in 2016 from the Athlete Neymar Jr., in due time reported to the Company, which, according to the story, did not take any measures at that time, some clarifications are needed.
We initially transcribe the information provided to the Wall Street Journal story:
“Neymar Jr denies these allegations. Similar to the sexual assault allegations made against him in 2019 — allegations which the Brazilian authorities found Neymar Jr. innocent —these allegations are false. Neymar Jr. will vigorously defend himself against these baseless attacks in case any claim is presented, which did not happen so far.
Neymar Jr and Nike ended the relationship for commercial reasons, which had been discussed since 2019, nothing related to these reported facts.
It is very strange a case that was supposed to have happened in 2016, with allegations by a Nike employee, come to light only at this moment.”
Regarding the accusations, there is nothing to add because the Athlete Neymar, during these five years, was never directly accused and prosecuted by the Nike employee.
Regarding Nike’s statements, made improperly and irresponsibly by the Company’s General Counsel Hilary Krane, about the alleged reason for terminating the contract with the Athlete Neymar Jr., it is important to clarify that the real and true facts are totally dissociated from the statement provided.
Despite all the reported untruths, we will not present, for the time being, the documents that reveal the form of termination of the contract, for obvious reasons of strict secrecy and confidentiality, in full compliance with the ethical and corporate governance principles that should guide the conduct of a company.
The appropriate measures are already being adopted and soon the real reasons shall be revealed and the facts clarified.
